Nazim Lyari Town Mahmood Hashim presented budget for fiscal year 2009-10 with a total outlay of Rs608.332m at a special session of the town council held here yesterday. At his budget speech, Nazim Lyari said that Rs430m revenue is estimated to be recovered in the head of Octroi Zila Tax (OZT). Rs324.8m has been allocated for salaries, Rs31.1m for uplift works and Rs90.6m for current expenses.
Addressing the session, Nazim said that the income sources of Lyari are very limited; adding OZT fund being provided by the Sindh Government is one of the big sources of the town income.
